| Job Description: |
We are a Language Centre situated in Kochchikade (Negombo) who begins academic year from January and extends to November each year. Our Courses aim at Cambridge ESOL Test series, which is held by the University of Cambridge administered by the British Council in our premises.
The certificates, which are issued by the University of Cambridge, are gateways to higher education and will also enhance job prospects because the qualifications are so well known globally, and pave the way for increased mobility.
Over the course of a year, there are 600 students learning English in our teaching centre.
Teacher of English. (Full Time)
Short Listed schedule
(Short period training will be given to the selected candidate)
A. Designing the annual plan with Language skills(Can do list).
B. Planning & Administrating Text book Activities.
C. Planning & Administrating the Writing assignment.
D. Planning & Administrating the Reading assignment.
E. Teaching.
F. Evaluating learners’ progress (Speaking / Writing / Reading)
G. Corresponding with the parents and staff.
H. Awareness of handling equipments and Reporting repairs or replacements.
Working Hours.
Monday to Tuesday 9.00 am to 5.30 pm
Thursday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.30 pm
Saturday 7.45 am to 5.30 pm
Maximum number of classes per week = 6
Teaching hours per class = 2.15 hrs
Wednesdays and Sundays are holidays
Required Qualifications
A certificate or Diploma level TESOL qualification.
Such as TKT Band 3 or 4 /CELTA Pass or Pass B, /DELTA Pass /Cert. TESOL or equivalent
Or
Education to degree level or equivalent qualification.
Such as BA ELT
Or
* At least two years post TESOL qualification fulltime relevant TESOL experience.
* High proficiency in the use of English language.
Such as CAE or CPE University of Cambridge / IELTS 6.5 Above or recognizable High Diploma in English
Original copy of medical examination base on requirement. (Essential if you’re a foreign applicant)
All the selected applicants are supposed to work on Performance Appraisal System.
Remuneration (Full Time)
From Rs. 12,500 to 50,000
